CSc 366: Multimedia Computing
The course looks at the emergence of multimedia; the nature of multimedia; media formats; the impact of multimedia on related technologies: workstations/ PDAs, operating systems, storage servers; support for distributed multimedia applications: related communications and distributed computing technologies; user interface issues; multimedia programming: synchronisation issues, media frameworks, component based programming. Content management, IPR management, media security, and water marking.
