LandMARC is a Microsoft Research funded two year project at Lancaster University, UK. The main aim of the project is to build a research environment based on Microsoft technology which will support a number of important areas in mobility, distributed systems, and networking research in which Lancaster has established an international reputation.
A secondary aim of LandMARC is to increase the exposure of Microsoft technology and development tools within the postgraduate courses and amongst researchers in the Computing Department at Lancaster University.
Microsoft are supporting four research staff at Lancaster
University, along with an associated project manager, and provide further
support in terms of access to software, source licenses and equipment.
